Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education is required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting highly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional techniques accordingly
- Prepare and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure integration and support across subjects
- Maintain accurate student records and document educational outcomes
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current on best practices in special education
