Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity - Raleigh, NC

Senior Medical Science Liaison position focused on obesity and related conditions, based in Raleigh, NC. The role involves serving as scientific resource to healthcare providers and opinion leaders, executing medical strategy, and advancing Amgen's obesity pipeline through field-based peer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with opinion leaders and healthcare providers to discuss obesity research and clinical data
- Engage with population health decision makers and healthcare institutions to communicate clinical outcomes and economic data
- Support obesity pipeline clinical investigations and serve as study lead for sponsored research
- Provide field observations and scientific insights to internal teams to inform company strategy
- Lead congress activities, speaker training, and project teams supporting medical science liaison strategies
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 2+ years medical affairs experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 8+ years
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred
- 7+ years in medically related field including clinical practice or research
- 2+ years as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity clinical expertise
- Strong scientific communication and relationship-building skills
- Territory experience in North Carolina healthcare market preferred
