divh2Hematologist / Oncologist (MD/DO)/h2pThe Hematologist/Oncologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with benign and malignant disorders of the blood and cancer. This role involves delivering evidence-based medical care, coordinating multidisciplinary oncology services, and supporting patients and families throughout the continuum of care./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliEvaluate and manage patients with hematologic disorders and solid and hematologic malignancies/liliDiagnose and treat conditions including anemia, thrombosis, coagulation disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumors/liliDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive care/liliProvide outpatient oncology care and inpatient consultation services as needed/liliMonitor treatment response and manage therapy-related side effects and complications/liliCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, radiology, pharmacy, and palliative care/liliParticipate in tumor boards and care planning conferences/liliEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and survivorship care/liliMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation/liliParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives/liliSupervise and educate advanced practice providers, residents, or fellows as applicable/liliComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school/liliCompletion of an accredited internal medicine residency program/liliCompletion of an accredited hematology/oncology fellowship program/liliBoard-eligible or board-certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology/liliAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure/liliDEA registration or eligibility/li/ulh3Skills and Competencies/h3ulliExpertise in hematologic and oncologic disease management/liliStrong clinical judgment and complex decision-making skills/liliExcellent communication and patient counseling abilities/liliAbility to manage complex, chronic, and life-threatening conditions/liliCommitment to evidence-based practice and compassionate, patient-centered care/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliOutpatient oncology clinics, infusion centers, and hospital inpatient settings/liliCall responsibilities as determined by practice or service needs/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout clinical environments/liliManual dexterity for examinations and office-based procedures/liliVisual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and treatment monitoring/li/ulpMust maintain state certification and/or licensure./p/div
