Role Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Profile Scripting Language (PSL): Software Engineer Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to work with stable banking technology to build innovative FinTech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests.

• Develop Profile Core versions of software applications and identify client requirements and technical specifications.
• Interact with engineering groups and train clients on applications.
• Design, program, debug and modify software enhancements in the Profile Core Product.
• Interact with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.
• Participate in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.
• Work with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.
• Evaluate systems specifications for complex business requirements and develop computer-based solutions.
• Analyze problems in terms of detailed equipment requirements and capabilities, including those related to scalable applications and cloud-based resources.
• Verify program logic by preparing test data for trial runs.
• Receive general supervision and work at the highest level of all technical phases of software engineering, both independently and in a team environment.
• May provide assistance and training to lower-level software engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Experience working with MUMPs language programming for enhancing (Profile) Core Banking solution.
• Utilization of Profile Scripting Language (PSL) programming including Python and JavaScript.
• Experience in the financial services industry with a focus on retail banking.
• Utilization of end-to-end systems development life cycles including waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development.
• Implementation of US banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business.
• Experience performing solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.
