Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered nurse with a current license to practice in the state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS may be required Must-Have: Knowledge of nursing process and practice; ability to use various technical equipment Description: Provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process. Assists patients in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective, relationship-based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive outcomes. Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively to optimize patient care and clinical outcomes. Contributes to the professional practice of nursing and develops self in the field. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies. This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. Unit includes a diverse patient population, servicing both adult and pediatric patients across a broad age range. Recognized trauma center with specific designations in stroke and chest pain management.
