License: Current and active Registered Nurse license required
Certifications: NIHSS, BLS


Must-Have: Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias


Description:
RN with experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, and neuro-telemetry is required.
Candidates must be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
There will be a test for this proficiency.
Patient care includes neurosurgery, neurology, and epilepsy patients.
Common conditions include traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, craniectomy, aneurysm clipping and coiling, spinal cord injury, strokes, seizure, and change in mental status.
Telemetry experience is necessary.
Skills required include IV start, telemetry care, and management of tracheostomy.
Weekend shifts are required every other week, with flexibility in scheduling preferred.
Candidates must float within the scope to meet facility needs.
This position includes working holidays as part of the schedule requirement.
Interdisciplinary support teams include respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Daily patient census is approximately 44-45 patients, with 46 beds available.
Patient age groups served range from adolescents to geriatrics.
The nurse-patient ratio during the night shift is approximately 1:5.
Neuro experience is mandatory for all candidates.
First-time travelers will be considered if they possess strong neuro experience.
Candidates should not have had any significant disciplinary actions in their background.
References from previous supervisory positions are required.
