Position Highlights
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations across pediatric, adult, and senior populations utilizing both standardized tests and careful observational methods.
- Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's communication and swallowing objectives, focusing on both immediate and long-term goals.
- Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions that address essential areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, healthcare providers, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families to foster communication and progress beyond the clinical setting.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining the continuum of care throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Ensure thorough and timely documentation adheres to applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay knowledgeable about the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and discussions with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not currently ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
