A physician-led occupational health practice in Santa Ana, California is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician for a Medical Director role that blends direct patient care with leadership, quality improvement, and clinic operations.

This is a clinic-based position with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and no nights, weekends, holidays, or call. Compensation includes a base salary of $260,000 to $325,000 annually , depending on experience, training, location, and seniority, plus monthly and quarterly bonus incentives and a monthly Medical Director stipend. The benefits package includes 30+ days off per year (24 days PTO, 6 paid illness days, 5 CME days, 6 paid holidays), claims-based malpractice coverage with tail, retirement with employer match, medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, tuition and licensure reimbursement, relocation assistance, and opportunities to teach residents and students.

The Medical Director will provide direct patient care, lead clinical operations, mentor clinicians, ensure workflow compliance, collaborate with therapists and specialists, maintain client and payer relationships, manage staffing, and contribute to budget and business metrics. Occupational medicine training is provided, and FMCSA NRCME certification is preferred or may be obtained.

The ideal candidate will have an active unrestricted medical license, unrestricted DEA and dispensing licenses for the state of practice, Medicare eligibility, and board certification or eligibility in an ABMS- or AOA-recognized specialty.
