Empower Yourself.The Strategic Retirement Plan Advisor guides individuals in an employer-sponsored retirement plan toward long-term financial success by delivering personalized advice across all aspects of their financial lives. Leveraging data-driven insights and Empower’s proprietary tools, the advisor conducts comprehensive financial assessments, develops tailored investment and retirement strategies, and helps participants take confident, informed action. This role supports both in-person and virtual consultations across an assigned territory—geographic and/or client-based—while meeting client service expectations and business objectives.What you will doConduct in-depth advice conversations to assess participants’ overall financial health, including retirement readiness, investment management, household financial planning, and general financial wellnessUtilize proprietary financial planning software to deliver detailed investment reviews and objective recommendations tailored to participant goals and risk toleranceCustomize and implement actionable financial plans using analytical tools to identify needs and follow up to promote long-term financial behavior changeLead one-on-one consultations and group education sessions, both virtual and in-person, covering topics such as retirement planning, investing fundamentals, and financial wellness best practicesDocument participant interactions, advice, and recommendations in Salesforce; ensure compliance and consistent follow-up strategiesAchieve measurable outcomes by meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs), client expectations, and annual performance goalsBuild and maintain strategic partnerships internally (e.g., Client Relationship Managers, Customer Care, Communications, and Marketing teams) and externally (e.g., HR and benefits coordinators within employer groups)Collaborate with Empower Personal Wealth to refer participants whose needs align with Empower’s wealth management solutionsWhat you will bringBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred7+ years of relevant financial services experienceFINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 registrations requiredStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsStrategic thinker with the ability to work independently and manage a personal book of businessDeep understanding of defined contribution plans, financial planning principles, and investment management topicsAbility to travel to client sites as necessary (up to 50%)FINRA Fingerprinting required upon hireWhat will set you apartExperience in sales and/or wealth management preferredProficiency with investment planning tools and financial wellness platformsSkilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft TeamsFamiliarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.***What we offer youWe offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. BRGs are open to all.Base Salary Range$87,400.00 - $123,400.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
