About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience preferred License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day. Description: Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Experience in post-operative open hearts and bedside surgical procedures is required. Candidates must be comfortable with CRRT, ECMO, IABP, and Impella. Responsibilities include caring for patients with CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, and cardiac arrest. Nurses may float to other ICUs, PCU floors, Emergency Department, and PACU as needed. Ratios are 1:2 for patient care. Weekend coverage is required as needed. Candidates may be asked to accommodate a block schedule but it's not guaranteed. Must have strong clinical skills and experience in managing various medical equipment. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential. Education in hospital policies and procedures is necessary. Nurses will monitor patients for signs of complications and provide emergency interventions as required. This role involves high acuity patient care and requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
