Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina certification in Special Education or active pending status.
• Experience teaching students with learning disabilities and adapting lesson plans for individual needs.
• Ability to effectively manage a self-contained classroom or work with various elementary caseloads.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students as outlined in their IEPs, adapting methods to address unique learning needs.
• Maintain detailed records, track student progress, and communicate regularly with parents and staff.
• Implement evidence-based strategies to promote academic, emotional, and social growth in students.
• Manage classroom routines, develop materials, and use assistive technology as appropriate.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for each learner.
• Uphold the school’s mission and values in daily interactions and professional conduct.

This is an onsite-only position, working 37.5 hours per week during the academic year.
