Equipment Maintenance and Operation Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiographic and imaging equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution. Keep imaging rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Documentation and Record Keeping Accurately document all imaging procedures performed, including patient information, imaging techniques used, and any contrast materials administered. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Ensure timely and secure transmission of images and reports to the radiology department or referring physicians. Radiation Safety Adhere to established radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself. Use protective lead aprons, shields, and other safety measures as required during imaging procedures. Educate patients and staff about radiation safety practices and the importance of minimizing exposure. Patient Care and Support Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients, particularly those who may be anxious or experiencing discomfort during imaging procedures. Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process. Monitor patients for signs of distress and respond promptly to any issues or emergencies that arise during procedures. Professional Development and Compliance Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and imaging techniques by participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
