- Loads construction materials, tools and equipment into the company vehicles for each job.
- Break up and remove existing surfacing before paving.
- Manual labor such as digging, leveling and spreading dirt, gravel or earth and other construction materials by using hand tools.
- Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float.
- Pounding stakes, setting and removing forms for concrete and other non-machine tasks.
- Ability to operate motorized equipment
- Maintain a clean job site
- Conduct documented pre-shift inspections of equipment for safety and mechanical defects. Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
- Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum three (3) years of construction experience, paving experience preferred. Clean driving record
- Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is pertinent, as work locations may change daily.
- Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations. Ability to work some nights and weekends
