Marketing Administrator

Summary: The Marketing Admin supporting the Mill Buy team at North Star BlueScope Steel will assist with procurement tasks, managing documentation, tracking purchase orders, coordinating communication between suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring smooth operations in procuring scrap. The marketing admin helps streamline the purchasing process and contributes to efficient operations within the commercial mill buy department.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in creating, managing, and tracking purchase orders from suppliers.Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents.Coordinate order confirmations and monitor delivery timelines to ensure timely receipt of materials.Help resolve any discrepancies in shipments, invoicing, or material quality by liaising with vendors and internal teams.Maintain a log of supplier communications and updates.Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date files, databases, and procurement records.Perform data entry tasks related to purchasing, including entering new orders, updating inventory systems, and tracking supplier performance.Generate and maintain procurement reports, such as material usage, order status, and delivery schedules.Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDThey need to have superb attention to detail, which allows them to input accurate data and check their work to catch errors.Strong communication skills to successfully interact with employees, management, and customers.Strong writing skills to effectively complete paperwork.Data entry experience.Working knowledge of general office equipment.Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel).Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail.Strong customer service skills.Quantitative Scope:No budget responsibilityNo direct/indirect reportsWork authorization:No sponsorship availableNorth Star BlueScope Steel is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
