About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical ICU (MICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting within a short-term acute care, teaching facility
• Chart and document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records system
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs across multiple hospital campuses within the health system
• Complete required pre-start modules in a timely manner as prioritized by the facility
• Adhere to strict attendance and facility compliance policies throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of MICU experience required
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submittal
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of MICU experience preferred
• Familiarity with EKG interpretation and pharmacology assessments
