Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 13 or 26-week contract options available | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, high-dose chemotherapy, and/or bone marrow/stem cell transplant on a mixed-acuity unit
• Manage complex medication and blood product administration; travelers do not administer chemotherapy
• Care for up to four patients on days or five patients on nights, including Med-Surg level patients as a mixed-acuity unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport, and paramedics/swoop personnel
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across various units, including a secondary campus
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting; experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center required for first-time travelers
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with IV drips required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Willingness and ability to float frequently to various units to meet staffing needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Prior experience in oncology or bone marrow/stem cell transplant nursing
