This core facility supports the development and implementation of novel neuromodulatory strategies to expedite the delivery of advanced, individualized care for patients with complex neuropsychiatric disorders. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in cutting‑edge research as a member of a multidisciplinary research team of technical and clinical experts. The project manager will report to Dr. Mayberg, director of the C‑ACT, and will interact with research patients and with a diverse team of clinicians and scientists who focus on the use of neuroimaging, neuroengineering, computational neuroscience, AI metrics, and bioinformatics in the context of invasive neuromodulation both within and across the Center and Institution. Responsibilities Program & Grant Management Support leadership in coordinating multi‑PI (within Sinai), multi‑site (with other sites) research programs. Develop and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with funding mechanisms and project objectives. Monitor and report conflicts of interest that may arise in study personnel and maintain COI communication logs. Track budgets, effort commitments, and compliance with sponsor reporting requirements. Keep track of deliverables for individuals and groups and be ready to coordinate and present related updates in group meetings. Support faculty in strategic planning and deliverable monitoring. Draft concise reports and presentations for PIs, funding agencies, and advisory boards. Coordinate public‑facing events and dissemination (press, media, social). Patient‑Facing Clinical Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate research visits for study participants with clinical staff and research personnel. Mentor and assist junior research assistants in patient interaction and assessment administration. Administer and coordinate routine standardized clinical and behavioral assessments to study participants, including psychiatric rating scales (e.g., Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS), Montgomery‑Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS), and other structured interview instruments). Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or a combination of applicable work experience and education. Master’s degree in neuroscience, biomedical sciences, psychology, public health, or a related field highly preferred. 3+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree; (3–5 years of experience in program, project, or research administration within an academic setting preferred). Familiarity with grant funding mechanisms (NIH, DoD, NSF, foundations) and academic research operations. Demonstrated ability to manage large research projects, compliance processes, or research governance frameworks. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work across diverse teams. Experience with multi‑PI, multi‑institutional initiatives or center‑level grants. Experience with IRB submissions, FDA regulatory submissions, regulatory documentation, and clinical trial management. Knowledge of neuroscience or neurotechnology research domains. Proficiency in research data platforms (e.g., REDCap, cloud repositories). Experience administering standardized clinical rating scales (e.g., HDRS, MADRS, YMRS or similar behavioral instruments). Familiarity with neuromodulation therapies (DBS, TMS, ECT) or neuropsychiatric clinical research. Previous supervisory or mentorship experience.
