Job Title: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Harlingen, TX Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: October 1, 2026 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day & night shifts PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages Patient Volume/Census: High-volume acute care setting Admissions: Yes Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level III Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary teams Support Staff Available: ED staff and hospital teamsPRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Cross-Credentialing Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Emergency Medicine procedures Trauma care Critical care management JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active TX license required Board: Board Certified ABEM or ABOEM required DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS Experience: Emergency Medicine experience required Other Qualifications: Ability to rotate across multiple facilities and work day/night shifts
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency department coverage across multiple sites Evaluate and treat acute and critical patients Manage patient flow in high-volume settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation
