Senior EHS SpecialistLocation: Largo, FL, US, 33773 Job ID: 115338 The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities. - Business Unit: Naval Electronics Location: Largo, FL Career Functional Area: Production Operations / Environmental Health & Safety Telework Type: N/A - Fully Onsite Type: Full Time Schedule: 9/80 Shift: 1st - Monday through Thursday 7:30am - 5pm and every other Friday 7:30am - 4pmJob Summary: As a Senior EHS Specialist you will perform daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety in our Naval Electronics' RF and Sensors Center of Excellence located in Largo, FL.Job Responsibilities:Preparation of Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as neededAids management with safety and regulatory auditsOversees the hazardous waste removal and handling proceduresResponsible for customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicalsGenerates literature for orders, SDS, etc.Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organizationImplements an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assetsResponds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient mannerPerforms facilities inspections and reporting requirementsCollects data and generates reports and metricsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferredStrong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatoryMust have excellent PC-based computer skillsTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
