ASCP Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Permanent Full Time / Day & Night Shifts Available / 7-on-7-off Schedule

MLR is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician to join our client's team near Telferner, Texas!

Key Responsibilities for a MLT / MT:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests in essential areas including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking.
• Analyze and validate test results with precision to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff by providing timely and accurate test results.
• Document and report findings in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
• Participate in quality control programs to uphold high laboratory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in medical technology and engage in ongoing education.

Qualifications for Medical Technologist:

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• ASCP certification (or an equivalent) is required.
• Active Texas Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist license, or eligibility to obtain one.
