Responsibilities The Medical Surgical Nurse Manager will report to the Nurse Director of Medical Surgical with strong visibility to executive nursing leadership. The Medical Surgical Nurse Manager will be supported by assistant nurse managers, experienced charge nurses, unit-based educators, clinical nurse specialists, and deeply integrated interdisciplinary partners. Core accountabilities for a Med Surg Nurse Manager include strategic staffing and scheduling, hiring and retention, budgeting and resource stewardship, throughput and length‑of‑stay optimization, survey readiness, patient experience excellence, and quality improvement across CLABSI/CAUTI reduction, falls and pressure‑injury prevention, sepsis bundles, and evidence-based practice.
