JOB SUMMARY Produce quality parts and meets production rates per company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for making sure the machine is running quality parts at all times. Notifies the supervisor if the machine isn’t operating properly.

2. Stays alert to observe parts being produced. Notifies supervisor of any problems such as non-inserted parts, mixed screws, broken cutters, out of nylon, etc. 

3. Responsible for emptying boxes and loading the feed pan with a hand-held magnet as required. 

4. Responsible for maintaining an acceptable production rate at all times. 

5. Handles all paperwork properly; i.e., fills out MES, signs shop travelers, keeps proper paperwork with parts, etc. 

6. Follows all safety and housekeeping policies. Keeps floor clean of oil by mopping, throws away empty boxes, returns skids and metal container to the dock, wears hearing protection, wears eye protection, etc. 

7. Maintains an acceptable attendance record. 

8. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

RESPONSIBILITIES There are zero (0) supervisors reporting to this position.

This position supervises no one.

ORGANIZATION This position reports to: Department Leads

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING This position requires regular contact with inner company personnel.

DECISION MAKING This position requires minimal decision-making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods/procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & · Authorization to work in the United States required.

CERTIFICATIONS · High school degree or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED · Ability to review and understand job packets.

· Ability to enter information in MES and sign off shop travelers as operations are completed.

· Sufficient dexterity to hand insert or otherwise hand process parts.

· Ability to visually inspect parts while they’re being processed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed near moving mechanical parts. Domestic travel may subject the employee to various environmental circumstances.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands or arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), and depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) are required to read documents on paper and computer screens. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) is helpful when dealing with color-coded documents. Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up/down or to the left/right while eyes are fixed on a given point. Physical demands are moderate. Needs to work with computers, access the internet, and use various computer software programs. Travel requires appropriate vision for transportation on their own.
