Pricing Manager

Overview A global professional services firm is seeking a Pricing Manager to develop and execute pricing strategies that support business growth while maximizing profitability. This role partners closely with attorneys and cross-functional teams to design pricing models, analyze financial performance, and provide strategic guidance on matter economics. The position plays a key role in aligning client needs with firm objectives through data-driven decision-making and innovative pricing approaches. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to develop pricing strategies and proposals for new and existing business
- Model pricing and staffing scenarios to support competitive and profitable engagements
- Develop and manage matter budgets based on historical data and case-specific requirements
- Monitor and analyze matter performance, including costs, write-downs, write-offs, and overall profitability
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve pricing strategies and financial outcomes
- Support client reporting and provide insights on financial performance and key metrics
- Lead pricing efforts for client proposals, including RFPs and RFIs
- Negotiate pricing arrangements with clients as needed
- Partner with internal departments to ensure alignment across pricing, finance, and operational processes
- Develop and implement best practices, tools, and processes to enhance pricing and project management functions
- Participate in annual rate setting and review processes
- Provide training and guidance to legal teams on pricing tools and strategies
- Mentor and support junior team members as needed
- Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment, preferably in pricing, financial analysis, or legal project management
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Experience with database or financial reporting tools preferred
