• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - consistent weekday schedule
• Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 32
• On-Site Position: In-person at the correctional facility
• Orientation: 2 weeks in Racine, WI (travel required for orientation)

Key Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin medical license (required at time of application)
• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred - experience in correctional medicine, primary care, emergency medicine, or family medicine is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Commitment to complete the required 2-week orientation in Racine, WI

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to adult male patients within the correctional facility (inmate health/prison healthcare)
• Perform physical examinations, diagnose medical conditions, and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing, mental health, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
• Participate in case management and discharge planning to support safe reintegration into the community
• Adhere to institutional protocols, infection control procedures, and Wisconsin state regulations related to correctional healthcare
