About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI (completed during onboarding) Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience required Description: ED RN - Rotating Night/Evening shifts. 36 hours per week with every other weekend required. First-time travelers accepted. Contract length is 13 weeks with a focus on rotating night/evening shifts. Primary need is for night shift currently. Patient age range includes all ages from infant to geriatric. Patient to nurse ratio is generally 1:4, may increase to 1:5 with lower acuity. Patient diagnoses vary and can include complex cases in a fast-paced environment. Weekends are required every other weekend. Holidays will be required as fall within scheduling. Floating may be necessary within the specialty and sister facilities as needed. Pre-scheduled on-call shifts are not required. All RN applicants must have an active state license. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are required. CPI certification is also required. Candidates must possess skills such as management of ventilated patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs. Ability to manage a variety of emergency situations is crucial. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the specialty without restrictions. Most units require certified training as part of compliance. Compliance documents must be submitted by the deadline prior to the start date. Modules are non-billable and factored into onboarding.
