US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes Full Time: Yes Company Overview Maverick Space Systems, Inc. is a growing aerospace company which providesvarious products and services to the small satellite industry, including but not limited to: CubeSat andESPA Class satellite launch adapter hardware, Launch Integration Services/Mission Management, andlow-cost hardware and test solutions for small satellites and their subsystems. Job Summary Maverick Space Systems is seeking a self-motivated full time Mission Manager/Program Manager to join our growing team in San Luis Obispo, CA. A successful candidate will have at least 5years of industry management experience interfacing between small satellite customers and variouslaunch vehicle providers, managing the technical requirements, ICDs, tests, and verifications needed tocomplete satellite integration tasks. This position requires occasional travel to launch sites and customer test facilities. This position requiresUnited States citizenship. Responsibilities and Duties: Interface with U.S. Government and Commercial customers and act as primary liaison betweencustomers and launch vehicles. Perform engineering tasks related to small satellite launch activities, including requirement definition and verification, range safety assessments, qualification testing, flight hardware build, acceptance testing, and integration between the satellite and launch vehicle. Perform mechanical and electrical design and analysis of deployment systems between the satellite and launch vehicle. Advise customers on environmental testing of satellite systems, and support off-siteenvironmental test campaigns, as required. Create test procedures, test reports and other integration and test documentation. Produce interface control documents, harnessing schematics, pin-out diagrams, design reviewpresentations and other technical documentation. Required Qualifications and Skills: A Bachelors degree in Aerospace or a related Engineering discipline A minimum of 5 years experience in spacecraft systems engineering or mission management Demonstrated proficiency in customer-facing activities such as design reviews (PDR, CDR, MRR,etc) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) Excellent communication and writing skills Experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD program) Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Self-motivated, organized, humble, and willing to learn Willing to relocate to San Luis Obispo, CA, if required Desirable Qualifications and Skills: Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Deep understanding of the small satellite industry Experience in launch vehicle integration activities and/or on-orbit operations Lead or participated in environmental test campaigns for aerospace hardware Lead or participated in risk-reduction activities Understanding of aerospace avionics systems Hands-on experience with CubeSats and small spacecraft bus architectures Lead design teams for launch or space vehicle hardware, missions or subsystems Excellence in at least one sub-discipline: - Avionics/Electrical Engineering - Flight Software - Propulsion - Guidance, Navigation and Control - Integration (launch vehicle and/or space vehicle) - Mechanical Design & Analysis PTO, Flexible Schedule Stock Options Opportunity to be a part of an amazing team of engineers in an incredible location #J-18808-Ljbffr
