About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience, level 1 or 2 preferred. License: Active state RN license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Candidates must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Candidates must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips. Candidates must have experience with IV starts. Description: The targeted patient ratios are 1:5-6. Nurses will be fitted for N95 masks prior to working unless PAPR is needed. Travelers will be the first to float at management's discretion. Agency staff may float in or out of specialty clusters for medically appropriate assignments. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Management reserves the right to cancel two shifts due to low census during the contract period. The facility reserves the right to cancel agreements with two weeks' notice without penalty. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. The unit is an observation unit with 40 beds and an expected length of stay of less than 24 hours. Patient populations include CHF, COPD, chest pain rule-outs, GI, urinary issues, cellulitis, stroke rule-outs, and TIAs. A heavy cardiac population is present on the unit. Navy blue scrubs are required. Requested time off must be submitted with initial application. No additional time off will be added after an offer is extended. Time off approval will be at management's discretion. Submission packets must include a completed application and current licensure report. Candidates should be prepared to float to other units based on skill sets and census needs. Charting experience with specific systems is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions or special requests. All previous staff or agency employees must wait six months before applying. Failure to disclose past employment may negatively affect candidates. Candidates must undergo lab work and competency assessments within designated time frames after signing.
