Details Circulating RN role in the Operating Room of a Level III Trauma facility Supports a diverse surgical caseload including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry Day shift schedule, 6:30a-7p, working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday Option to work 48 hrs per week Call required, split among OR RNs for 24/7 unit coverage, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period Weekday call runs 3p-7a; weekend call is 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) Holiday coverage required No floating required Uses Medhost and PICIS EMR systems Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred 2 years of OR nursing experience required Experience required in General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers Additional Information Serves as circulating nurse responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care and patient advocacy throughout the intraoperative phase Coordinates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, first assistants, and nursing colleagues to support seamless surgical care Responsibilities include patient assessment, surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, specimen handling, and medication administration Hospital-laundered scrubs provided Maximum RTO of less than 1 week Local candidates will not be considered due to a 50-mile radius rule Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-727476.
