Role : IT Principle Network Engineer

Location: Miami, 4 days in the office

Job Type: 6 month contract to hire

Notes

• This will be the most senior person on the team ( the go to Person for Networking needs) just under the director.
• They need a senior/principal-level network engineer who is exceptionally strong in networking and also has practical automation experience .
• This person should have deep networking expertise combined with enough DevOps and scripting experience to work effectively with the established automation team
• They said to focus on
  • Advanced Routing and switching
  • Network security, firewalls, and Juniper firewall experience
  • DevOps, automation, scripting, and Python
• They must have real hands-on exposure and be comfortable discussing how they have used automation tools in a networking environment
• leads the support of ship to shore communications and data transport to achieve and sustain world class communications and services
• Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex network issues, optimizing performance, using AI to improve accuracy and efficiency, mentoring junior engineers, addressing vulnerabilities, ensuring "good code" and deploying golden configurations and collaborating across teams to align with business goals.
• This role provides engineering support for Satellite services, SASE VPN, WAN, LAN, WiFi, LTE, or other technologies to achieve optimal results.
• This position is responsible for end-to-end connectivity troubleshooting and optimization to ensure guest and crew experience, business applications, Marine operations, safety, and security are in optimum condition.
• Responsible for optimization of networks, Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls, WAN, SASE VPN, process coordination and brand collaboration
• Experience as a network engineer implementing complex networks interfacing with terrestrial and satellite telecommunications infrastructures including telecommunications networks (Internet protocols, routing, queuing, effects of delay and packet loss, etc.).
