This is hns-on engineering role. Yo will own the plnning sie of the proct, n provie expertise on wht sties we cn rn, wht ssmptions re efensible, wht reports we proce, n how or otpts hol p to scrtiny from senior plnner or interconnection engineer.

We expect the strongest cnites to be eep on trnsmission plnning first n to either write coe lrey or be eger to grow tht skill longsie strong softwre tem. We re lso intereste in strong engineers from the softwre sie with rel interconnection-sty exposre.

Responsibilities

• ecie how line rtings re pplie in C n C power flow sties, contingency nlysis (N-1, n N-1-1 / N-2 where pplicble) , PTF/LOF sensitivity work, n genertor interconnection (GI) cpcity clcltions.
• Contribte Python nlysis scripts n Sienn power flow service coe. Bil new sty types, improve solver n contingency hnling, n integrte or forecst t into the plnning workflow.
• Le non-crtilment interconnection sties n similr enggements en to en: cse ingestion (PSS/E .rw/.rwx, PSLF .epc), bse-cse vlition, contingency screening, rting ppliction, n report proction.
• Engge RTO/ISO trnsmission plnners, tility plnning engineers, n IPPs to nerstn wht they nee, wht's efensible in their process, n wht wol ctlly move the neele on their interconnection qees n relibility ssessments.
• Bring yor plnning experience to proct ecisions. Gie or tem with n nerstning of wht fetres mtter, wht reports they expect, wht ege cses will brek trst the first time plnner pressre-tests or otpt.
• Review sty reslts n reports from other engineers for physicl plsibility, methoology sonness, n presenttion qlity.

Minimm Qlifictions

• 4-6 yers in trnsmission plnning t n RTO/ISO or trnsmission tility.
• Yo cn open bse cse, ientify problems, rn contingency screen, n explin wht the reslt mens to non-plnner.

• Comfort with C n C power flow, PTF, LOF, n TC concepts.
• Yo hve le sties (system impct, fcilities, clster, ffecte-system, ERIS/NRIS eliverbility, or similr) n hve shippe reports tht other engineers signe off on.
• Python proficiency.

• Strong writing n presenttion skills.

esire Qlifictions

• Experience with ny of: PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorl, TR, PROMO, GriView, PowerSystems.jl / Sienn.
• Fmilirity with IEEE 738 therml rting clcltions.
• Fmilirity with FERC Orer 881 / R option, or ctive LR progrms t tility.
• Experience with LGI, clster sties, or ffecte-system sties in WECC or MISO context.
• Jli experience or willingness to lern (or power flow service is in Jli/Sienn).
• Exposre to Fltter, Rect, or other fronten frmeworks not reqire, bt sefl for shping how plnners interct with or otpts.
• Reporting / visliztion experience (Plotly, HTML reports, shbors).
• Fmilirity with NERC TPL-1, MO-32, FC stnrs.
