Machine Operator

This role involves operating machines in a climate-controlled production environment. Candidates will work in the same station and ensure each tag meets strict quality and accuracy standards. Candidates must meet a height requirement and have 20/20 vision.

Responsibilities

• Read and inspect product carefully to verify accuracy, legibility, and overall quality before they move to the next step.
• Lift and load 50100 lb coils of metal into the machines several times per day, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured.
• Set up machines and adjust settings as needed to maintain consistent product quality and production output.
• Use hand tools and measuring tools, including tape measures, to confirm correct dimensions and alignment.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 month of machine operating experience.
• At least 6 months of production experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to handle and assist with lifting 50100 lb coils of metal safely.
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.
• Excellent vision to read, inspect, and verify printed tags with a high degree of accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with load handling and material feeding into machines.
• Comfort working in a structured, process-driven production setting.
• Ability to multitask between machine operation and general warehouse duties.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with cleaning and facility upkeep.

Work Environment

The role is based indoors in a climate-controlled facility, providing a comfortable and consistent work setting. You work a first-shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for an 8-hour shift. The production floor includes press machines, metal coils, and general warehouse equipment, and you can expect a mix of machine operation and light industrial tasks. The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans, tennis shoes, and short-sleeve tops, suitable for a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety, cleanliness, and mobility are important.

Job Type & Location: This is a contract position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
