If you'd like the chance to make your mark with the world's largest equipment rental provider, come build your future with United Rentals!With supervision, the Fleet Technician I - Fabrication is responsible for the manufacturing of all Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground-level offices, office trailers, and/or other custom projects. It is the responsibility of the Fleet Technician I to perform all cleaning and maintenance tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company standards. The Fleet Technician I - Fabrication must also be capable of effectively performing all duties of an Equipment Associate.What you'll do:Equipment Manufacturing (rental and sale fleet, steps, and related equipment)Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standardsAbility to perform basic manufacturing tasks, including but not limited to framing, paneling, trim, final prep, door/window installation, removal/install of UR decals and equipment numbers, cleaning final product before shipmentComplete assignments on time and within budget, and as documented on the work orderEquipment Modifications completed in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and state and local building codesFollow Mobile Storage and United Rentals 5S guidelinesStore tools, supplies, and Value Added Products (VAPs) in proper and secure placeKeep yard organized and free of debrisInbound and outbound equipment inspections and processing; follow Rental Flow proceduresFork Lift OperationsShow and exhibit the fleet to customers when neededSafely install and/or uninstall VAPs according to reservation requirementsRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceActive, applicable state-class driver's licenseEntry-level position; Related maintenance experience is a plusConstruction knowledge and backgroundDemonstrated time management skillsAbility to utilize required information technologyWorking knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty processExposure to bright light, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, or fumesThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.We don't just "talk the talk!"
