Team Red Dog is hiring a Social Media 3D & Concept Artist for our client, a creative technology powerhouse and global digital experience innovator. This is a unique opportunity to shape how millions of players experience Minecraft through visually compelling social-first content, 3D artwork, concept development, and campaign creative that fuels global marketing initiatives. You'll collaborate with creative, marketing, social, and production teams to transform ideas into engaging visual storytelling across social media, paid campaigns, franchise moments, and community activations while leveraging modern creative tools and AI-enabled workflows. Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. 3D Art & Concept Development (5–7+ years): Demonstrated expertise creating high-quality 3D artwork, concept art, visual storytelling, key visuals, mockups, and campaign creative using industry-standard modeling and rendering tools.
2. Social-First Creative Mindset: Experience developing engaging visual content specifically for social media and digital marketing, with an understanding of how to create content that feels authentic, entertaining, and organically shareable rather than promotional.
3. Visual Storytelling & Creative Execution: Proven ability to translate creative briefs and business objectives into compelling visual concepts, from rapid sketches and ideation through polished presentation-ready assets.
4. Portfolio & Cross-Functional Collaboration: An exceptional portfolio showcasing 3D artwork and concept development, combined with experience partnering closely with Creative Directors, Marketing, Social, and Production teams in fast-paced creative environments.

This role blends artistic creativity, social media strategy, concept development, and 3D visualization to create memorable campaigns that reach millions of players across owned, earned, and paid channels. You'll work alongside highly collaborative creative professionals while experimenting with emerging AI-enabled creative workflows and contributing to major franchise launches, community initiatives, and marketing campaigns.

How you will make an impact:

• Create high-quality 3D artwork, concept art, key visuals, sketches, mockups, and creative explorations for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Translate creative briefs, marketing strategies, and business objectives into compelling visual concepts that inspire stakeholders.
• Develop environmental artwork, campaign assets, product visualizations, and presentation-ready creative materials.
• Produce assets that can be adapted across social media, paid media, websites, events, presentations, and partner initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Marketing, Social, Production, and Community teams.
• Explore multiple creative directions while balancing speed, quality, and innovation.
• Stay current on gaming, entertainment, design, and cultural trends to continually bring fresh ideas to the team.
• Leverage AI-enabled creative workflows to accelerate concept development and creative exploration.
• Ensure all artwork aligns with brand standards, accessibility requirements, and community guidelines.

The expertise you bring:

• 5–7+ years of professional experience in 3D art, concept art, visual development, entertainment art, marketing design, gaming, or related creative disciplines.
• Outstanding portfolio showcasing 3D artwork, concept development, visual storytelling, mockups, sketches, and campaign creative.
• Strong ability to take creative concepts from ideation through final execution.
• Deep understanding of composition, lighting, color theory, form, storytelling, and visual communication.
• Experience creating artwork that supports both marketing objectives and audience engagement.
• Proficiency with industry-standard 3D modeling, rendering, and creative design tools.
• Experience developing concept mockups, visual prototypes, and presentation materials.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to thrive in rapid creative cycles while incorporating feedback efficiently.
• Strong understanding of global brand consistency and creative quality standards.
• Experience with AI-enabled creative workflows is highly desirable.
• Experience with Minecraft or strong familiarity with the Minecraft community is highly preferred.

Location: 100% Remote (Must work Pacific Time hours). Seattle/Redmond-area candidates are strongly preferred and may occasionally work onsite.

Job Type and Estimated Duration: W2 contract opportunity through June 30, 2027, with the potential to extend up to 18 months total, subject to performance, budget, and client discretion.

Rate: $47 - $51/hour
