Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: ICU experience Comprehensive assessment skills Care of septic patients Care of mechanically ventilated patients Experience with hemodynamic monitoring devices Description: The purpose of this position is to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients. The unit has 30 beds with varying patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. The equipment utilized includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000. The Electronic Medical Record system used is Epic. Floating to other inpatient areas may be required during low census periods. The patient population includes those with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders. Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy. Dress code requires navy scrubs, with no unacceptable attire such as hoodies or non-system sweatshirts. Orientation will include various training modules relevant to the position.
