About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience License: RN License required Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS & PALS; NRP & TNCC certifications strongly preferred Must-Have: General ED nursing skills including but not limited to assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education. Description: This position involves working in a 65-bed Emergency Department with a pod-based structure. The department has a separate pediatric pod and a separate acute mental health area. The average census is approximately 230 visits per day. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:4. Familiarity with the EMR system (EPIC ASAP) is required. Floating to different areas of the unit may be required. Rotating shifts may be requested, but the night position does not rotate. Critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
