About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Compliance Operations to join their team. The successful candidate will be a senior leader within the Compliance Department, with a focus on overseeing critical operational compliance functions. This includes but is not limited to, surplus lines tax and filing operations, licensing, financial crimes such as sanctions and related controls, and providing broader compliance advisory support to the business. The role demands a strategic operator who can ensure that high-risk, transaction-based compliance activities are executed with precision, consistency, and regulatory rigor. The VP will lead teams in day-to-day regulatory adherence, strengthen internal controls, and optimize processes in line with the company's Compliance Risk Framework and ERM program. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in insurance compliance, surplus lines operations, licensing operations, or related risk functions within a property and casualty insurance organization. Deep expertise in at least one of the specified areas is essential, with a strong understanding of state insurance regulations and regulatory filing requirements. The role requires a proven track record in managing operational compliance teams, designing and enhancing internal controls, and translating regulatory requirements into scalable business processes. The VP will also be responsible for building and developing high-performing teams, supporting regulatory examinations, and ensuring consistent control design and regulatory alignment in partnership with legal, ERM, internal audit, and business leadership. A Bachelor's degree is required, and relevant certifications are a plus.
