About the Company

Amanda Uprichard is a New York City based women’s contemporary fashion brand designed for the sophisticated, feminine woman. Her collections of Dresses, Jumpsuits, Tops & Bottoms can be found across retailers nationwide, in addition to amandauprichard.com and online retailers including Shopbop and Revolve.

About the Role

We are looking for an Experienced Patternmaker to join our Design Team. The ideal candidate will have a love of the craft of making clothing and be very detailed oriented.

Responsibilities

• Creating manual paper from hand drawings and/or drapes.
\n
• Transferring patterns to Gerber.
\n
• Altering patterns in Gerber.
\n
• Creating patterns that are accurate, well-fitting to design intention and clearly executable forrespective cutters, sample makers and offshore factories
\n
• Maintaining accurate yield and measurement specifications for manufacture and costing
\n
• Participate in all development and production fittings
\n
• Executing pattern alterations and grading rules for production
\n
• Working with the in-house sample cutters and makers to oversee the completion of high-quality samples
\n
• Consistent communication with the production team to ensure high-quality fit and finishes and review of pre-production samples
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 5+ years experience in womenswear manual pattern making.
\n
• Ability to creatively problem-solve patterns and/or construction constraints to achieve design intention
\n
• Ability to work on the form, drape and sew muslins.
\n
• Have an eye for cut an silhouette and the ability to interpret the designer's vision.
\n
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of high end garment finishes.
\n
• High knowledge of detailed and complex garment construction.
\n
• Enjoy the challenge of working with original designer fashion garments in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with Gerber a must.
