Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Required. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams. IV therapy/phlebotomy: peripheral line care/management. Respiratory: nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management. Professional topics and skills: isolation precautions.

Special Requests: Must be more than 75 miles from the facility.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Complex care unit for medicine, ortho overflow, and complex long-term patients. Specializes in the care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, as well as cardiac pharmacological interventions.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Float to Med Surg.

Maximum consecutive days off: 10
