Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor coordinates and oversees daily manufacturing activities, sets priorities for the production team, and provides technical expertise to resolve complex issues. This role ensures an effective and efficient production flow, meets production schedules, and delivers high-quality products that adhere to specifications while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the production team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Set clear priorities and allocate resources to meet production schedules and achieve established production objectives.
• Apply hands-on experience in industrial electrical, mechanical, compressed gas systems, and production processes to support and improve operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all production work performed.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials within the production department.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment that safeguards all employees.
• Lead and direct the work of a team of employees based on current business needs.
• Manage staff selection, performance, development, and training to build team competencies and capabilities that support business goals.
• Effectively handle difficult and sensitive personnel situations using sound judgment and discretion.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance related to production and personnel.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in production, assembly, and packaging processes.
• Oversee general labor and manufacturing activities to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
• Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance and support variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and additional hours when necessary.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned to support overall production operations.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in production management, including planning and meeting production schedules.
• Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, mechanical systems, and compressed gas systems.
• Practical experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct production staff and general labor teams.
• Capability to maintain detailed records and documentation of production activities.
• Strong judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive personnel situations.
• Ability to ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials in a production setting.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Reliability in maintaining regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including flexibility for nights, weekends, and variable schedules.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in significant operational and personnel matters.
• Experience supporting or driving continuous improvement in production processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McMinnville, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
