Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Farmington, Connecticut. This position involves providing high-risk obstetric and newborn care in a busy unit with a strong emphasis on patient safety and team collaboration. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid nursing license, minimum of 5 years experience in Labor and Delivery (high risk), prior OB experience, prior travel experience, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Ratios: 1:3 on Labor and Delivery, 1:3 antepartum, 1:6 mother/baby couplet
  • Unit provides scrubs
  • EMR: Epic
  • Med System: Pysis
  • Every other weekend Fri/Sat, Call Rotation Required, 4-hour mandation block if needed
  • Pat Population: high risk
  • Vents: alaris pumps, epidural pumps, PAS lower extremity pumps
  • IVS to interview/mgr to offer
  • Mandatory overtime: During personnels assignment with the client, they are considered part of the unit and may be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to ensure coverage for the unit.
