Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

$1933.92/week – Job Summary: Performs a wide range of clinical laboratory tests on biological specimens, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of results. Maintains strict confidentiality, adheres to safety protocols, and provides supervision to trainees and staff as needed. Responsibilities: Conducts clinical laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, and blood bank procedures. Ensures proper specimen collection, labeling, handling, and preservation following established protocols. Reviews and evaluates test results for validity, accuracy, and consistency, correlating findings with clinical diagnoses. Maintains compliance with HIPAA and safety standards, documenting all procedures and results thoroughly. Prioritizes laboratory work based on urgency (STAT, ASAP, routine) and communicates critical findings promptly. Performs quality control checks, calibrates equipment, and troubleshoots technical issues. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological, chemical sciences, or related field. Valid California CLS license and current certification from ASCP or NCA. At least two years of recent experience in clinical laboratory testing. Current BLS certification and experience with EPIC laboratory systems. Strong understanding of laboratory safety, specimen handling, and quality assurance processes.
