Areti is working exclusively with a leading international consultancy specialising in financial services transformation, partnering with banks, asset managers, insurers, and wealth management firms across the UK and global markets.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Microsoft Entra & Tenant Architect to join a strategic cloud identity programme supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft environments. This is an opportunity to take ownership of identity architecture, governance, and security strategy while working with some of the most recognised organisations within financial services.

The Role

As the Lead Microsoft Entra & Tenant Architect, you will provide architectural leadership across Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 tenant services, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-governed environments. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to define identity strategies, drive best practices, and support large-scale transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Define authentication, identity, and access management strategies aligned to business and security requirements.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption across Microsoft cloud platforms.
• Design and govern Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, ensuring security, resilience, and scalability.
• Lead tenant transformation, consolidation, and migration initiatives.
• Provide expertise across Conditional Access, Identity Governance, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), MFA, SSO, and federation services.
• Partner with security and infrastructure teams to strengthen identity protection and governance controls.
• Act as the senior technical authority for Microsoft Entra and tenant architecture decisions.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and translate business objectives into strategic technical solutions.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience designing and implementing Microsoft Entra ID solutions within large enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 tenant architecture and governance.
• Expert knowledge of Conditional Access, Identity Governance, PIM, MFA, SSO, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience defining enterprise identity and access management strategies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
• Experience working within highly regulated environments is highly desirable.
• Microsoft security and cloud certifications would be advantageous.
