We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following care plans to ensure safety and compliance
- Support residents with meal preparation, cooking, and maintaining proper nutrition
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Document care activities accurately in resident records and update care plans regularly
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities, or autism
Requirements
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR and first aid
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges with patience and empathy
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient safety oversight
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents’ families
