Due to being a federal contractor, you may be subject to obtaining and maintaining a public trust security clearance from the federal government.Position PurposeProvides troubleshooting and technical assistance for both local and remote computer systems and users. Provides assistance or training related to computer hardware and software use; including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.Essential ResponsibilitiesCoordinates answering user inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems and provides technical support.Maintains and uses software tools for remote management, troubleshooting, asset management, patch management and anti-virus.Coordinates and participates in dispatch rotation for helpdesk tickets.Prepares, edits, and distributes documentation, training materials, and procedures.Trains users in the proper use of hardware and software.Installs and performs various repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.Minimum QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalentExperience:Three (3) years desktop supportCollege education in or technical training in computer related areas may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
