About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Advancement to serve as its chief advancement officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction in advancement and alumni affairs. This includes actively participating in the identification, cultivation, and nurturing of relationships that lead to the development of major and planned gifts. The role involves working with all constituencies to understand the mission and priorities of the institution and to develop strategies that support those priorities. The Vice President will also be expected to have a strong background in alumni relations and an effective leadership style that fosters collegial relationships with community and industry leaders. Applicants for the Vice President for Advancement position at the company must have an earned bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of successful experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in staff management. A strong record of developing and cultivating relationships with alumni and prospective donors is essential, as is experience in various areas of solicitation, including major gifts, estates, and planned gifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in launching and leading capital campaigns, a master's degree, and a successful record of writing and winning competitive grants.
