About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Must have 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital with some neuro experience. License: Active RN license. Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to read and interpret EKG strips. Fast-paced ICU experience treating neurological diseases and disorders, including seizures and strokes. Comprehensive stroke center experience preferred. Description: The position requires a registered nurse specializing in the intensive care unit. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, treating patients with neurological diseases and disorders. Responsibilities include managing patients with seizures, strokes, and other critical neurological conditions. The nurse will also assist in managing overflow patients from other ICU units. Floating to other units may be required as needed. The role involves working every other weekend and holiday. Nurses must be prepared for the potential cancellation of shifts due to low census. All required certifications should be current at the time of application. The role requires strong teamwork and adaptability.
