With Others is a neighborhood wine bar built around thoughtful hospitality, low-intervention wines, seasonal food, and community. We're an independent, owner-operated business focused on creating meaningful experiences for our guests and neighbors. Whether it's a lowkey Wednesday evening, a busy Saturday service, or one of our many parties and events, our goal is to create a place people want to return to again and again.

We're entering an exciting new chapter as we continue to grow our food, wine, and events programs, and we're looking for an Assistant General Manager to help lead what's next.

The Assistant General Manager is a key leader within the business and a direct partner to ownership.

You'll lead service, coach and develop the front-of-house team, improve systems, and help oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that requires someone who thrives on the floor but is equally excited by building processes behind the scenes.

You'll gain exposure to every aspect of operating an independent restaurant—from staffing and financials to wine, events, and long-term strategy.

Leadership & Hospitality

• Lead every service with confidence, warmth, and attention to detail.
• Set the tone for hospitality and hold the team to high service standards.
• Be a mentor the FOH team through feedback and ongoing development.
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and genuine care.

Operations

• Support scheduling, labor management, and payroll review.
• Help oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
• Build and improve SOPs, systems, and training materials.
• Ensure the restaurant is organized, clean, and operating efficiently every day.

Business Development

• Partner with ownership on operational improvements and long-term growth initiatives.
• Support private events, wine education, and community programming.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, guest experience, and profitability.

Who You Are

You have strong wine knowledge, a genuine interest in wine, and prior experience working with wine.

You're a positive, self-motivated leader who genuinely enjoys taking care of people. You don't wait to be told what to do. You notice problems, take initiative, and look for ways to make the business better.

You're organized, accountable, and calm under pressure. You communicate clearly, lead with empathy, and know how to hold yourself and the team to a high standard.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospitality management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Wine knowledge required; WSET or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to balance empathy with accountability.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Desire to grow within a small, independent hospitality business.
