You will get to coordinate the testing of biological specimens and review testing results and quality assessment data. Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Coaches and develops assigned personnel; identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues. Leads with humility and a willingness to listen and consider suggestions from everyone, regardless of position or status. Oversees all testing procedures (including quality control testing) to ensure compliance with practices, regulations, and/or any agreements/contracts. Knowledge/Education Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Must satisfy CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing required. State licensure as required by regulations. Licenses/Certifications Reference Lab Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification required for an accredited IRL, preferred for a reference lab. Experience Seven years clinical laboratory experience required. To include: a. Three years managerial or supervisory experience. b. Previous experience in molecular techniques, immunohematology techniques, automated testing and computerization preferred.
