Senior Systems Engineer

We have an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer who will work with the Pilot team as we help one of our clients to bring a new Electric Vehicle to the market. The role will be customer-facing and fast-paced. You will need to navigate ambiguity and take decisive action. You will be technically curious, transparent in your communication and be able to perceive problems and solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop requirements for various subsystems (Propulsion, Body, Chassis, Electrical and Safety), taking into consideration related regulations and standards. Design/Develop system concepts and architectures. Maintain traceability, of the system, to the requirements. Perform DFMEAs. Plan and execute testing and validation. Lead technical reviews. Required Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. 5+ years’ experience in a similar roles. Experience of working with Electric Vehicles and High Voltage Systems. Experience with UML / SysML. Controls algorithm design experience using Mathworks and/or C++. Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) and associated development tools. Experience in system verification and validation testing. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare technical documents and presentations. Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. Knowledge of ISO 26262 and relevant SAE standards. Experience with AUTOSAR and functional safety. Preferred Experience and Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Expertise in vehicle supervisory controls development using C++ / MATLAB / Simulink. Expertise in advanced diagnostics and prognostics. Experience with Battery Management Systems. Experience with Secured Gateway Modules. Expertise in Vector software tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
