Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Medical/Surgical nursing. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage care for patients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Manage patient documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Float between units as needed to support staffing requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for field work (if applicable).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing units.
• Interdisciplinary team collaboration experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Special Considerations:

• Floating between units as needed.
• No on-call requirement.
• Weekend work required as per facility needs.
• Expected patient ratios approximately 1:6.
• 48-hour work weeks approved.

Scheduling:

• Schedule includes weekends per facility needs.
• No block schedules required.
• Shift assignments may vary based on unit needs and staffing.
